Equipped 2BR home with private balcony - StJulians STJ077

Quelques détails à améliorer mais nous avons passé un très bon séjour ! Positive: Les chambres étaient bien équipées, très confortables, de même pour la cuisine et le salon. Très bonne situation géographique. Negative: La connexion Internet était parfois très lente dans les chambres, le balais n’était pas en très bon état, le sèche linge était très humide, nous étions obligés d’étendre notre linge dehors pour qu’il sèche. Tout en sachant que nous avons séjourné 2 mois dans l’appartement, il aurait été utile d’avoir au moins un torchon pour la cuisine ainsi qu’une serpillière (nous avons dû en acheter).

It was spacious and had two bathrooms, which was very comfortable for a family stay. Communication with the host via WhatsApp was possible, and he tried to help. Negative: The apartment was not properly maintained. When we arrived, it was dirty and smelled strongly of sewage and cigarettes. I spent the entire first day cleaning and lighting candles just to make it livable. The smell persisted throughout our stay, and we had to pour water down the drain multiple times a day to manage it. Many things were broken: the induction stove was unreliable, randomly switching on and off or not working at all, making cooking a challenge. The balcony doors were difficult to open and close, the TV didn't work properly, and the washing machine smelled terrible and had visible black mold inside upon our arrival. We rented the apartment for two weeks, and no cleaning service was included. We found very dirty cleaning tools, and when we asked for new ones, we received similar dirty equipment. I had to buy own cleaning supplies just to keep the place usable for my family. The final straw was when the host refused to let us leave our suitcases in the apartment for a few hours after the 11:00 check-out, saying that the cleaners needed to start early and it wasn’t possible to keep our bags inside. My husband waited for two hours outside with all our luggage for two hours, before we could leave to our next apartment. No cleaning team showed up. It felt disrespectful and dismissive. The only thing handled properly was the urgent hot water repair. Other than that, the host’s responses were slow and inflexible. In the end, despite our efforts to make it work, the condition of the apartment and the way issues were handled made our stay frustrating.
